Welcome to our school.

We hope our website gives you a better feel for our community and helps to keep you informed of news and achievements.  Schools are vibrant institutions and new things are always happening and great things being celebrated.

The first thing I would like prospective families to consider before submitting enrolment applications is the notion of “Catholic identity.”   We are not a private school.  We are a Catholic school.  This does not mean we are exclusively Catholic in our enrolment considerations, but it does mean we require all families to embrace our Catholic identity and understand the Catholic ethos.

Catholic identity is a term bandied about frequently in Catholic Education but it is a difficult concept to define.  Most parents inform me at interviews that Catholic identity is linked to things like: caring; discipline; values and a high standard of education.  Parents tell me they choose our school because they want the school to reflect the values and attitudes they have in their home and they want to belong to a community that has this collective understanding of Catholic identity.

Our School ethos should be obvious; it should be palpable as you walk around the school.  The things you see, the words you hear and the energy you feel should leave you in no doubt that this is a Catholic school.  I believe this ‘energy’ is strong in our school and I invite you to witness it. Observe what we value and how we celebrate.  Examine the evidence showing the success of our programs.  Talk to parents that are part of our community.

Of course offering this invitation doesn’t hide the fact we have waiting lists in some classes.  I’m happy to discuss our selection criteria with you during the interview.

I look forward to meeting you soon.
