The Holy Cross School induction program is designed to ensure new team members feel part of the Holy Cross family from the very beginning. Recognizing that each staff member brings unique experiences, skills, and aspirations, we tailor our induction program to meet the specific needs of each individual, ensuring they receive the guidance and support necessary to succeed. Our goal is to ensure new staff feel well-supported, valued, and fully integrated into our community from day one. 

Central to our induction program is the assignment of a personal mentor. This mentor, an experienced member of our school community, provides one-on-one support, offering insights, answering questions, and assistance navigating the new environment. This personal relationship is crucial in fostering a sense of belonging and connection, enabling new staff to quickly feel at home. 

Our induction program covers a wide range of topics, from policies and procedures to the ethos and values that underpin our work. Through these sessions, new staff gain a thorough understanding of ‘the Holy Cross Way’, our culture, expectations, and the resources available to them. 

Beyond the initial orientation, our induction program includes ongoing support and professional development opportunities. Continuous growth and learning ensure that our staff are not only well-prepared to begin their journey at Holy Cross School but are also equipped to thrive in their roles long term.
